Born in Barnsley, Paul originally trained in Drama before taking a one year Dance course at The Electric Theatre Studios. He went on to train at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and graduated in 2007. He has worked with Ascendance Rep with choreographers Jacky Lansley, Jan de Shynkel, Tom Roden and Gary Clarke, Ffin Dance Company, The Cholmondeleys and The Featherstonehaughs, Pit Fleur Company, Alice Theatre and Simon Vincenzi for Duckie Decade. He has also worked with choreographers Ben Wright, Hofesh Schecter, Lisi Perry and Simon Birch. In 2005 he spent his summer working as a Karaoke DJ in Benidorm.
