Antonia Grove

Antonia was born in Reading, and now lives in Brighton with her husband and daughter, Rosa.  She trained at The Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance and went straight on to join Rambert Dance Company 1998-2003.  Whilst there she performed works by Christopher Bruce, Jiri Kylian, Mats Ek, Merce Cunningham, Glen Tetley, Lindsay Kemp, Ohad Naharin, Richard Alston, Siobhan Davies, Javier de Frutos, Jeremy James, Wayne Mcgregor, and Rafael Bonachela amongst others.

She has since danced for Walker Dance Park Music, The National Theatre, Random Dance, Bonachela Dance Company, The Charles Linehan Company and Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre.
She has twice been nominated for the Critics Circle National Dance Awards and for a Time Out Live Award. She recently featured in the Observer’s listings of twentysomething overachievers.

Antonia co-founded the company PROBE in 2004. She has produced and toured the award-winning, ‘Have we met somewhere before?’ and this year’s ‘Magpie’. PROBE have commissioned and performed pieces by Lea Anderson, Mark Bruce, Rafael Bonachela, Charles Linehan, Trisha Brown, Jeremy James, Yasmeen Godder, New Art Club and Stephen Mear to date.
