Makiko graduated from Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2005. Since then she has worked with various companies such as ACE dance and music, Mork Dans, Collision. She also worked with Maria Korsnes for Resolutions and Carrie Mueller Hill for a piece performed at Siobhan Davies Studio.
She has been exploring and enjoying different art forms, music, films and paintings. She has made a few short films such as ‘destroy all dreamers’, ‘Drop Down’ and ‘The spirit vanishes from the face of the earth...’. She joined the company as an apprentice for Yippeee!!! for the second half of touring.
